With Wildgate's Emergence update on November 19th, we're launching a whole bunch of ways for you and your friends to try the game. Starting Thursday, November 20th, Wildgate will have a Free Weekend here on Steam, converting to an ongoing Free Trial afterwards. For console players, we have a combination of Free Weekend and Free Trial offerings also - see below for details.
If you're a returning player since our Open Beta or past testing, then there's lots of new ways to play for you to explore, including a new ship, prospector, two new game modes and more! For more details, check out our Wildgate: Emergence Preview. Be sure to jump into Rookie Chat in our official Discord if you join us as a new player, and be sure to check the Channel Directory to sign up to LFG channels for your region! 
PC Players
Stream Free Weekend (November 20th - 24th)
During our Steam Free Weekend, you can jump into Wildgate and play as much as you like for free! Any progression you achieve during this time will be kept should you buy the game in future (eg - prospector, ship, weapon or other unlocks as part of Adventure track progress).
Stream Free Trial (November 24th onward)
After Steam Free Weekend is finished, we'll make an ongoing free trial of Wildgate available.
New players will have full gameplay access up to Prospector Level 5, be able to try all game modes, and follow any adventure path. Please note! Upon reaching Level 5, social features such as matchmaking and party play will be disabled, and your party privacy will automatically switch to Closed.

Free Trial progression is capped at early-level unlocks, with no advancement beyond Prospector/Account Level 5.

Some daily quest completion will be disabled in Free Trial, to make sure that new players have time to try out the game without hitting Prospector/Account Level 5 too quickly.

If you decide to purchase the game, all progress made during the Free Trial will carry over to your full account.

Accounts that have previously reached Level 5 (whether during the Free Weekend or earlier) won’t have Free Trial access on that same account.
Steam 50% Off Sale (November 20th - December 4th)
Finally, we'll be running our deepest sale yet on Wildgate to coincide with the launch of Free Weekend and Trial. If you've enjoyed your Free Weekend or Free Trial time, we hope this gives you (or friends) a great reason to leap in and join us!
Console Players
Xbox Free Play Days (November 20th - 24th)
We'll be a part of Xbox Free Play Days from November 20th, where Xbox players will also be able to jump into Wildgate and play as much as they like.
Xbox Free Trial (November 24th onward)
Our Xbox Free Trial will function similarly to the Stream/PC Free Trial described above.
PlayStation Free Trial (November 20th onward)
Our PlayStation Free Trial will function similarly to the Stream/PC Free Trial described above. We also have a 50% off sale currently live on Wildgate on PlayStation, which finishes November 21st.

Double XP Days - November 26th - December 1st
To keep the space piracy party going after Free Weekend / Xbox Free Play Days finishes, we'll be offering Double XP to all non-trial players. A great time to get going on unlocking your Adventure tracks!
